Actual product examples

NeilMed NasaFlo

Gravity neti pot · kit with saline packets

Gravity moves prepared saline through the nasal passages. Head position and an unobstructed path matter.

Use distilled or sterile water and the specified packet mixture. Clean and dry the pot. Stop for pain or ear pressure; do not force flow through a blocked nose.

NeilMed Sinus Rinse

240 mL squeeze bottle + regular saline packets

Manual pressure moves saline through the nasal passages. Packet counts and packaging can vary.

Use distilled or sterile water and the specified packet mixture. Do not force a rinse through a completely blocked nose.

Naväge Original

Powered nose cleaner + Original SaltPods

A powered device draws saline through one nostril and out the other. It requires compatible SaltPods and cleaning after use.

Do not use with an ear infection, blocked ears, or inability to breathe through either nostril. Stop for pain or ear pressure. This guide does not establish better outcomes than a squeeze bottle.

Naväge Original SaltPods

Plain saline capsules · 30 count

Isotonic saline when prepared according to the label; no added aroma.

Use the specified safe water and volume. Do not reuse or refill a capsule.

Naväge Nasal Rinse Packets

Plain saline powder · 50 packets

Premeasured powder for an isotonic rinse at the labeled water volume.

Not for Original SDG-2. Advanced also requires SaltPods. Follow the specific packet and device instructions.

Naväge Advanced

Powered nose cleaner · SDG-2.5

A separate Naväge model with a SaltPod system. Device features are not evidence of better symptom outcomes.

Check this model’s current warnings. Do not substitute powder packets for the required SaltPods.

Naväge Portable

Portable powered nose cleaner

This model accepts both Naväge pods and its nasal rinse packets. That flexibility does not apply to Original.

Check Portable’s own instructions and warnings; a shared brand is not proof of universal refill compatibility.

NeilMed Sinus Rinse Regular Refills

Buffered saline powder · 100 packets

Plain saline refills for people who already have a compatible rinse device.

Use distilled or sterile water, the labeled water volume and a clean device. Not a substitute for required SaltPods.

What it is useful for

May improve allergy symptoms, but the review evidence is low certainty. The best volume and concentration are not established for allergies.

How to use it

  • Use distilled or sterile water, or water boiled and cooled using the CDC method. Never use untreated tap water.
  • Use the saline packet with its specified volume. Clean the device after each use and let it dry.
  • Rinse before applying nasal medication. Do not force fluid through a painful or completely blocked nose.

Use the dose on your specific package. Different concentrations and release types are not interchangeable.

Check suitability

Stop if it causes irritation or bleeding. Ask your clinician first with recent surgery or immune suppression.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, children, immune suppression and postoperative care are outside this finder.
